This damn virus overwhelmed Trump, and his people, and it now appears to be in process of overwhelming Biden and his people given the delta variant. I give Trump credit for realizing vaccine was the only possible antidote, and for pushing hard so we would have vaccines. But they did not materialize in time to save the lives of over 600,000 Americans. This virus is the quintessential, prototypical, force majeure!
A great many people who played an important part in my life had already passed away prior to 2020. You never wish for anyone to be dead. But I am grateful those people do not have to be living through this pandemic. In an odd and special way, their timely deaths were a blessing.
Here’s another one of those far right extremists perpetrating violent hate crimes.
Given it was NYC, the shocking thing was the criminal was actually held without bail, although maybe that’s only because she had a history of half a dozen known assaults.

First of all Biden seems to think all is well on the subject of crime and violence. Just as much as our POTUS thinks that there No Border Crisis.

There actually is much less a crisis than existed right after Biden took over. It’s because nearly as quickly as they arrive, the illegals are being shipped away from the border to venues all across the USA. In those places they become Democrat “implants” as they await the right to vote. Thereafter we will never again have conservative or Republican rule here in America. The entire enterprise is a measure of Democrat political genius. Like constrictor snakes they are slowly squeezing the life blood out of our country, diluting the votes of people who actually, and historically, make and have made the country work.
There is simply not enough pushback to stop the Democrats. If they are able, later this week, to spend us into oblivion using reconciliation, it’s pretty much gonna be over. Sure, Republicans might win Congress next year. But it will do no good because there will not be enough of them to override Biden’s Presidential veto.
And by the time 2024 rolls around, even if Republicans can take full control of government at that time, the die will already have been cast.
It’s so typical. After this week the Senate goes on August recess. The pending legislation there is absolutely pivotal and will be voted on these next few days. Yet, watching the nightly news earlier, not a word of this on any of the major networks. They are working in tandem with one another in an effort to keep Americans dumbed down. And their conspiracy is highly effective.

Catholic Charities would in turn place the undocumented individuals in hotels in the McAllen area as well as La Joya.
In response, Hidalgo County Judge Richard Cortez called on federal immigration officials to stop releasing infected migrants into their communities.

At least so far. This could turn out to be unimportant. It could so easily be a Democrat ruse. But for the time being credit to and respect for Senator Sinema.
Also for now Bernie is upset and that is a good thing for America.
However the Sinema number could still be so high that inflation becomes locked in. And the “pay fors” could so easily turn out to be phony.
I well remember the double digit inflation in the early 1980’s. But Chairman Volcker passed away more than ten years ago. We have no one like him on the scene today to save us. Powell, in particular, is facing end of his term upcoming early next year. Do not count on him to take decisive action before he knows whether or not he will retain his job!
