The 2020 USA POTUS election politics, the civil war, and the world war (Part 2)

??? Based on what? How did you exclude the mentally unstable gun nutter from the 16% in that county or from being a resident of another county?

Without any basis to do so…

My point is this is a bad thing happening. The people who are irrationally anti-mask are Trump supporters but I’m not posting to attack Trump supporters. I’m posting to point out the dangers of physical violence by encouraging irrational beliefs.

I want people to stop promoting irrational beliefs and suggesting people must “fight” for their freedoms by killing employees who request they follow store policies.

It is extremely irritating that you do not seem to care a whit about the violence and viciousness and death and injury of innocents but are only concerned if it reflects badly on Trump supporters.

You make weird assumptions about me that are not true. They’re in your head, not reality. I’m not like you. You seem only concerned with countering what you imagine I’m saying, not what’s actually happening.

Let me try another way: Trump supporters can support Trump all they want as long as they do not encourage violence and then actually do it. Unfortunately, that’s what they are doing, so, yes, they are very bad people when they are doing this and then others like you don’t care and think only of defending them and their actions.

I want them to behave better. If they won’t, they should be condemned, but that’s not why I posted.

Both cashier and shooter are African American. Me thinks the shooter became angry that somebody, anybody would tell him to fix his face mask.

Just like you seem to be fixated in blaming whitey for all wrongs around? The pot calling the kettle black…

Again, an incorrect assumption, I never said anything like that. Please stop the false personal attacks and address the subject.

How do you feel about the violence? Do you think it should be stopped? Do you think it’s wrong?

Cool! A celebration of American freedom!

I think you missed on this one, unless the news/witness reports were wrong.

I first though the same, because the official statement said the arguement was over his (the shooter’s) mask. But other statements say it was his refusal to put on a mask.

Being in Georgia, the fact this county is so heavily democrat is likely the only reason that store had a mask policy in place at all (assuming it was store policy, and not just a rogue cashier making up rules).

At first the guy did what he is suppose to do - he didnt want to follow the rules, so he left. When he went back, well, I think it’s extremely unfair for anyone to try to imply his actions are representative of any larger group.

Am I the only person who’s suprised that “Juneteenth” isnt considered a racial slur? It sounds like such an uneducated, made-up word that screams “black people are illiterate!”. I’m not talking about the underlying meaning of the holiday, it’s just seems like a really weird term to slap on such a meaningful event.

Based on his race and the voting results from that county. Palmetto, where the shooter is from, is 56.9% Black, 26.9% White. All those counties surrounding Atlanta are democrat strongholds, not Trump country. It’s the most likely case. Also, if the news could pin this on a Trump supporter, they would.

The basis is the demographics of the localities and the map. Note I said “unlikely” not “I am 100% positive.” But I’ll be glad to eat crow if it comes out this guy was a Trump supporter. I think the safe money is on him not even being a register voter.

I promise I don’t think his actions are representative of any larger group. But as evidenced by @Argyll’s demented ramblings, he does. I was just trying to dispel the myth that this story was something he could use to support his crazy notions. According to twitter and facebook, several race baiters, one of them well known, claimed falsely that the shooter was a white guy. That might be where @Argyll first got the notion that this event supported his narrative.

I never said anything like what you claim I said. It’s all in your head. You seem devoted more to personal attacks, trying to make someone wrong, even by making up things, rather than discussing the actual subject. It’s you that is attaching racial and political notions to everything.

You pretend I said something I did not, then attack it and me.

Please stop.

Oh, so this wasn’t a Trump supporter that did this, but the Trump supporters are the reason his did this. I love your mental gymnastics. I really do.

I’m sad you don’t realize the flaw in your logic. One could just as easily make the opposite argument - there are dangers of physical violence from passing useless masking laws. (I’m not claiming they are useless as part of my argument - just pointing out the flaw in yours.)

No one is doing that. Useless hyperbole. For all we know, this guy got upset about wearing a mask, they cashier insulted him, and he killed her because of the insult, not because of the mask policy.

I am not surprised you interpreted my post in this way because you almost always seem to look for the worst possible way to interpret your political opponents’ posts. I don’t have to justify the care I have about violence to you, but I can sleep well at night knowing that I have done much more than the average person to stop violence in my community.

Then stop posting blind links and write why you are posting them.

Please post examples of this actually happening. Then post how much it is happening in comparison to run of the mill, everyday violence crime in our nation’s cities.

I didn’t pretend. I assumed. And I said I was assuming. All you have to do is post your opinion with your links instead of posting blind links and we won’t have to guess at what your point is. Based on what you posted above, I actually wasn’t wrong about how you feel about Trump supporters. But since you posted the link blind, we don’t know if you mistakenly thought this was an instance that supported your view of trump supporters or not. It’s pretty easy to reply (after I proved he wasn’t likely an anti-mask trump supporter) that you weren’t posting to prove your point of that trump supporters are violent anti-maskers, but were posting to prove the (ludicrous) point that trump supporters’ rhetoric causes non trump supporters to hurt people.

Why should the capitol police be singled out for medals for poorly handling one protest when there are thousands of city cops all over the country that handled weeks and months of protests well that aren’t being honored?

And those thousands of cops aren’t only not being honored, they are being openly villainized and even attacked.

I wasn’t sure how to respond to his asinine comment. Thank you for doing so. What’s anti-American is using the Medal of Honor as a reward for helping advance a politician agenda.

I actually responded to some of your stupid questions earlier and lived to regret it.

Some of our very capable folks that posted, gave some super answers.

So I’m going to pass on this one.

Fighting racism starts at home. Or not.

The latter part of the article covers his ridiculous text conversation with his lawyer, although since you’re not getting paid $500/hr to listen to his offensive rants and sexual suggestions, you could reasonably pass on that part.

Wait, I thought the Bidens were in bed with the Chinese?

It sounds like he’d be welcome in the GOP.

"The takeout drinks and outdoor construction was enabled by Wolf’s pandemic emergency declaration, which the state GOP has nonsensically attacked as some kind of death blow to freedom. They therefore added a constitutional amendment to the recent primary election ballot that would give the legislature the power to overturn a governor’s emergency declaration.

Unfortunately (in part because it was a low-turnout primary) this amendment passed, and the Pennsylvania legislature has duly canceled Wolf’s emergency declaration. The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board then ruled that the stipulations allowing for takeout drinks and outdoor dining have been repealed."

Outdoor dining was welcomed by everyone but Republicans canceled it just to be contrary to the Governor. They really have no constructive or intelligent policies at all. They simply attack the “other” side by insulting them or trying to stop whatever they do, even if it’s a great thing.

In this case, they claimed his pandemic declarations designed to save lives and help people to cope with a deadly pandemic were attacks on freedom! They made up crap to be contrary and are willing to harm and hurt people just because they need an enemy.

Wasn’t it welcome because inside dining was prohibited, and now indoor dining is back? And the Liquor Control Board’s waiver was only temporary anyways.

Why are Republicans so anti-police?

" Rep. Andrew Clyde, a Georgia Republican who has downplayed the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, refused to shake hands with Michael Fanone, a Washington, DC Metropolitan police officer who was assaulted by pro-Trump rioters while protecting the Capitol, two members of Congress announced on Wednesday.

Rep. Eric Swalwell, a California Democrat, tweeted that Fanone approached Clyde at the Capitol and introduced himself as “someone who fought to defend the Capitol,” but Clyde refused to shake his outstretched hand."

“I just called Officer Fanone and confirmed this story. This is really incredible,” Kinzinger tweeted. “Also relayed an interaction he had with another members [sic] Chief of Staff that was really incredibly bad and disrespectful.”

" Clyde’s attempt to minimize the Capitol riot is particularly notable because he was photographed helping barricade the doors to the House floor from inside the chamber as pro-Trump rioters attempted to smash them down."

Fanone also said that House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has refused to meet with him. Fanone, who suffered a heart attack after he was repeatedly stun gunned and beaten by rioters, advocated for the bipartisan commission to investigate the events of Jan. 6 before Republicans sunk the effort. The officer called Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s efforts to block the commission “absolutely disgraceful.”

“I was absolutely sickened,” he told CNN after meeting with the mother of a Capitol police officer who died after the riot. “You know, here I am escorting the mother of a dead policeman, while she and myself advocate for the formation of a commission to investigate the circumstances which resulted in her son’s death.”"
