If we are bringing them into the country, I have a hard time referring to them as “illegals”. It’s like inviting someone over for dinner, then while eating dessert you accuse them of trespassing.

And I have no problem whatsoever referring to them in that manner, because they are here illegally. The fact Biden facilitated that illegal behavior does not change it.

Hochul is an upstate gal running for Governor in a place controlled by downstate voters. There are not enough upstate New Yorkers to offer her a ghost of a chance at victory. And besides, too many of 'em are Republicans!! So Hochul is doing what any experienced politician does: she is pandering . . . . like crazy . . . . to her downstate doubters.
We have seen this sort of thing before in New York. Recall the career path of (now) Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. Years ago she was a relatively conservative (for a Democrat) upstate back-bencher Congresswoman. Then along came Schumer and anointed her for a Senate run to replace Hillary. So what did Gillibrand do?
Same as Hochul today. She cast aside any conservative notions and became the sort of liberal firebrand you have to be to garner those downstate NY votes. This worked for Gillibrand. And it probably will work for Hochul, as well.

I’m starting to forget what these people are supposedly arguing? This is merely more evidence that there was no orchestrated coup attempt, it was Trump being stubborn following all the criticism thrown at him the previous time he intervened. I’m sure he was really appreciating the irony of how this time it was coming directly at those who insisted his response was so outrageous before.

The Democrats benefitted “hugely” from the changes to election rules made on account of the pandemic. They are seeking to freeze those changes in place and avoid reverting to the old pre-pandemic election rules when 2024 rolls around and the pandemic presumably will be in the rear view mirror.
Problem is, setting of election rules is a matter left to the individual states. The Democrats want to change that and federalize the rules in their favor.
Apparently journalism is also dead north of the border.
Liberal media pitbulls are going all out to celebrate the anniversary of 6 January 2021. It’s an excuse for them further to disparage Trump by showing one more time their carefully edited footage from that day. They simply cannot get enough of this.
Figure on this happening every January sixth until Trump is no longer a threat to them. There is a wrinkle:
The American public has the attention span of a gnat and a very short memory as well. They will certainly try. But it will be a challenge for the eastern media elites to keep their outrage machine humming for ten whole months between January 6, 2024 and November 5, 2024, election day.

This happened in Illinois. I’m old enough to remember when Illinois was a proud, upright, and decent state. But in recent years only a fool would want to live there. Illinois is today hopelessly in the toilet.
Still authorities there want the black murderer of this fine cop to be put to death. Only way is if Biden’s Justice Department will take the case and federalize it, because Illinois has no death penalty - - not even if you ANNIHILATE a police officer lying helplessly on the ground begging for her life! And there is zero chance Biden’s Justice Department will be in favor of executing one of their own supporters.
This black perp owes a debt of gratitude to all Biden voters. If President Trump were in office there is a good chance this guy would get what he deserves. But count on Biden and his twerp of an Attorney General, Garland, to ignore the heck out of this, just like their supporters in the national press.

The West Virginia Democrat told reporters minutes ago that a carveout would be a “heavy lift.” Basically, if you do that, he said, “you eat the whole turkey.” He wants any rule changes to be bipartisan.
