The 2020 USA POTUS election politics, the civil war, and the world war (Part 2)

I have been listening to VP Harris’s remarks earlier today in Poland. She is a one woman dumpster fire. She sounds like a brain dead California valley girl.

Her wildly inappropriate cackling and laughter, her inability to know east from west, how the American people could have elected this woman VP is beyond me. Sadly, I guess it says more about today’s woebegone American people than it does about Harris. But this Harris nincompoop remains only a heartbeat away from the Oval Office. :fearful:

Come on, man. You are doing exactly what we constantly criticize the left of doing - mindlessly regurgitating the same desired talking point regardless of what you’re responding to. Why would you possibly reference an interview from Sunday? You literally just stated that it was old and outdated, because of new statements made late Wednesday.

You gave a quote, then loaded with a whole bunch of conclusions to it. I posted the full quote, at least the only one I can find anywhere, and it doesn’t even touch on what you had concluded. So I asked you for a source that attached the quote with your conclusions, and all you got is to dismiss it as left wing Kool aid?

In order to point out the change which took place only three days later.

Look, you have all the answers. And you are more than welcome to your views. Stew in them for all I care. You richly deserve the fate which awaits you and people who share your point of view. Been there. Done that. Seen the movie. Know how it ends. Good luck. You’ll need it.

Dude, I’m already looking at the quotes from 3 days later. You’re claiming that the ‘3 days later’ stuff has also changed, apparently sometime last evening after that 2PM AP article had been published. Talk about being a step behind.

But go ahead and double down on tossing ridiculous insults instead of actually responding. I know, I know - either I blindly agree 100% with every word you say, or I’m obviously the enemy. Definitely sounds like someone has drunk the kool aid…

I’m just tired of your mindless BS defense of Biden and his cronies.

The narrative I presented was NOT from the internet. It was offered, instead, on the PBS News Hour, of all places. Broaden your horizons and shut up. The Poland thing is a straw man. Nothing more. The real story is Sunday (which was prior to Poland’s offer) vs. late Wednesday when Biden slammed the door on the jets without exception. If you cannot understand that juxtaposition it has to be because it does not fit your preferred, pro Biden, narrative.

Really?

This is the narrative you presented, from the AP. And if you bothered to look, you would see that the PBS News Hour is the exact source of the link where I then found your quote. I understand exactly what you are talking about, and my horizons are plenty broadened. What you are ignoring is the fact it still says “slams the door to provide MiG fighter jets” It’s all still in reference to Poland, they’re the only ones who have MiG jets to provide the Ukraine. Before we provide MiGs to anyone, we’d have to call up Putin and buy some from him. Maybe it’s just me, but I’m pretty certain that door was never open in the first place, to be able to be slammed shut.

Please point out one place where I defended a damn thing. Of course, you wont do this, you’ll just keep doubling down on insisting I did, since you know full well it never happened anywhere for you to point it out. Which is straight from the left wing playbook.

Absolutely. I was surprised, they are so left wing.

It was at first. But not in the end. In the end they closed the door on providing jets regardless the means. It was a 180 degree turnaround from Blinken’s Sunday statement CBS. However:

When I tried to search this on the net, nearly every story made reference to Poland. That is what I meant by “straw man”. The Biden crew had a stronger case not providing the jets as Poland suggested. But a weaker case when it came to not providing them by any means at all. So they focused on the Poland angle. Biden is very timid and fearful about these things. I refer you again to his sole dissent regarding the Osama operation. He thinks he can curry favor with Putin by being a “good boy”. Little does Biden realize Putin sees that approach only as weakness which can be exploited.

This is false. A number of the old Soviet era satellite countries have these jets, just as Poland does.

Who is “they”? I mostly skimmed the episodes, but all I saw was an undersecretary saying that we dont publicly discuss how we are helping Ukraine, and how giving them our jets will probably result in a war between the US/NATO and Russia that nobody wants. Plus a claim that Russia has stopped producing 70% of the oil they had been due to our ban.

(I’m not sure which episode you’ve been referring to, I think it was the 8th.)

Well, yes, be we arent one of them. I was mostly referring to how they are “Russian fighter jets” that we do not have.

Better than nothing I guess.

actor Jussie Smollett has been sentenced to 150 days in jail in connection to a staged hate crime that occurred in Chicago in Jan. 2019.

Smollett will begin his sentence immediately. He was also ordered to pay more than $120,000 in restitution to the city of Chicago, and was fined $25,000.

He was also sentenced to 30 months of felony probation.

If he’d been guilty of the hate crime he tried to fake, he’d have got 1-3 years in jail.

this was a screw up by the Biden administration

The Biden administration, of course.

I believe you.

Biden on American energy, IN HIS OWN WORDS!!

.

Biden: “no more subsidies for the fossil fuel industry. No more drilling on federal lands. No more drilling, including offshore. No ability for the oil industry to continue to drill, period. Ends."

I realize you think I’m making that up. Biden could not be that stupid, you think. Shin is posting lies.

No, I’m not. And here is the clip of Biden himself bragging proudly on how he will shut down new American energy production:

Biden on American energy, in his own words

Biden continues even now to keep this “F*** America” campaign promise. He wants to source desperately needed energy from abroad, not here.

DeSantis calls BS on transgenderism activists and woke corporations

Introductory remark for Trump supporters: Note that DeSantis’s emphasis here is NOT on himself or on his personal vanity. It is instead on the people!! And he is looking forward, NOT backward!!

Florida governor Ron DeSantis issued a sharp rebuke of Disney on Thursday, calling out the company’s “woke” stance on the state’s Parental Rights in Education bill and its ties to the Chinese Communist Party.

DeSantis telling supporters in Boca Raton that Florida’s policies must be based on the “best interest of Florida citizens, not on the musings of woke corporations.

DeSantis’s comments come one day after he fielded a concerned call from Disney CEO Bob Chapek and company executives over the bill, which prohibits gender-ideology and sexual-orientation curriculum for kindergartners through third-graders in the state. The bill passed the state legislature on Tuesday. DeSantis is expected to sign the bill into law imminently.

On Thursday, DeSantis said there is “zero” chance he will change his position on prohibiting the instruction of “transgenderism in kindergarten classrooms.”

“When you have companies that have made a fortune off being family friendly and catering to families and young kids, they should understand that parents of young kids do not want this injected into their kids’ kindergarten classroom,” he said.

“You have companies, like at Disney, that are going to say and criticize parents’ rights, they’re going to criticize the fact that we don’t want transgenderism in kindergarten, in first-grade classrooms,” he added. “If that’s the hill they’re going to die on, then how do they possibly explain lining their pockets with their relationship from the Communist Party of China? Because that’s what they do, and they make a fortune, and they don’t say a word about the really brutal practices that you see over there at the hands of the CCP.”

This is what we need, an individual who will stand up against this woke nonsense and label it as the BS it certainly is. This sort of thing has to be priority one, not a rehash of the 2020 election and wasting time on a list of personal grievances. I don’t give a damn about Trump’s feud with Rosie O’Donnell, or his other private issues. What matters instead is opposition to far left insanity and restoration of traditional American values.

DeSantis has his priorities straight

Well, obviously. I mean who on that program. Unless it was a throw-away line while discussing a different subject, the closest I heard was “we dont discuss publicly how we are helping Ukraine” and “we dont want to get into a war that nobody wants”.

Does anyone actually think you are making that up? Isnt that a part of his standard stump speech from the campaign? Again, that policy may be contributory to why we are in the situation we’re currently in, but it is irrelevant to any immediate solutions. We need action that’ll help now, not policy shifts that’ll help a year from now (yes, we need those too, but that’s a different topic).

After we’ve given kindergarteners the freedom to vote, the freedom to drive, the freedom to get drunk, the freedom to get married, and the freedom to have sex, then we can talk about giving them the freedom to change their gender.

As you say, the whole thing is utter nonsense. The correct answer is to work towards making it acceptible for boys to wear dresses too. Not demanding that anyone wearing a dress be considered a girl. Yes, that is basically what the argument boils down to.

Say what? I’m having a hard time deciphering your woke nonsense. What sex should anyone wearing a dress be considered?

You deciphered it just fine! Boys are boys, girls are girls. Regardless of what clothing they prefer to wear.

Here Biden goes again with the woke far left BS

This just happened today, Friday. . . . on the quiet . . .

White House proclaims ‘Social Emotional Learning Day,’ ignores ties to CRT

The White House celebrated a controversial school curriculum with ties to critical race theory in a proclamation Friday.

President Joe Biden proclaimed Friday as “International Social Emotional Learning Day,” drawing praise from SEL curriculum providers and criticism from parent activists who have decried the curriculum as a Trojan horse for injecting critical race theory into public schools.

Do I need to remind you that AG Merrick Garland’s son-in-law’s business provides CRT materials to 23,000 schools nationwide?

Link for doubters

CRT is ever more clearly an integral part of the Biden administration’s agenda. His move today is merely confirmation of that.

Polls looking bad enough to start a war? This was from early March

https://www.wsj.com/articles/wsj-poll-biden-ukraine-inflation-midterms-11646975533

The survey also found Republicans making gains among minority groups. By 9 percentage points, Hispanic voters in the new poll said they would back a Republican candidate for Congress over a Democrat. The two parties had been tied among Hispanic voters in the Journal’s survey in November.

Democratic margins also eroded among Black voters, who favored a Democrat for Congress by 35 percentage points in the new survey, down from 56 points in November. Support for a Republican candidate rose to 27% among Black voters, up from 12% in November.

On economic issues

Voters also gave Democrats poor marks for handling inflation and the economy, which 50% cited as the top issue they want the federal government to address. The Ukraine conflict was No. 2, with 25% of voters saying it was most important.

A majority of voters, 63%, said they disapproved of Mr. Biden’s handling of rising costs, the president’s worst rating on six policy issues surveyed in the poll. Meanwhile, 47% of voters said Republicans were better able to handle inflation, compared with 30% who preferred Democrats.

Underscoring the political problem for Democrats: More voters said that Republicans had a better plan to improve the economy, 45% to 37%, even though Sen. Mitch McConnell and Rep. Kevin McCarthy, the party’s leaders in each chamber, have advanced few specific economic-policy proposals they would pursue if they controlled Congress.

Woke culture comes to the runway

All the men on the board of directors, with the exception of CEO Martin Waters, were replaced by women. The Victoria’s Secret Angels—women like Heidi Klum, Gisele Bündchen, and Tyra Banks—were out. A new group of women, called the VS Collective, was in. The new models were chosen on political, rather than aesthetic, grounds.

The company presented the new spokeswomen not only as representatives of their intersectional identities—the original lineup included an African refugee, a pink-haired lesbian, an obese biracial woman, and a male-to-female transsexual—but as social-justice activists committed to “systemic change.”

It would be a ghastly faux pas to point out that some of the women in the VS Collective are, to put it delicately, not as beautiful as their predecessors.

One should hope that the company’s recent gambit fails—and that intersectionality proves to be as much of a disaster for American business as it has already proved to be for American culture.
