The 2024 election politics

They probably would not build it at all

When I did my H1-B back in the 90’s, there was an INS requirement that Americans didn’t want or didn’t apply for the job. My employer announced my position posting it on a window in the main office. Nobody other than me applied for that job.

Never. Intel is doing the same extorsioning negotiating in Germany.

Despite this, San Francisco will vote overwhelmingly Democrat. Newsom will run ads in Republican states saying California is a great place.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has also reportedly expressed safety concerns about her staff who work there.

The plaza has been known for years as a place where drug use and sales are common.

This summer, Governor Gavin Newsom announced he would double the amount of California Highway Patrol officers deployed in San Francisco as part of a plan to crackdown on the ongoing deadly fentanyl crisis.

And that’s the squishy part.

To make sure I understand - They’re getting German tax breaks and demanding to use Americans for their workforce?

Huh? What’s the big deal? We’ve been told for the past few years that it’s peaceful.

To channel my grandmother’s sense of courteous sarcasm, “San Franciscans are special”. Come to think of it, my grandmother, who was a Democrat until FDR’s second term, would use that same term to describe Democrats.

I will accept that you are a big game hunter extraordinaire. There are lots of zebras, many blind (Tommy Bell, where are you), so fire away. Please leave the rhinos (not RINOs) and elephants to reproduce, grow old and pass away peacefully … or get mauled by a pride of lions.

As for that renowned purveyor of a bulldogged search for truth and justice, Comrade Weiss is the architect of the Little Guy’s Hunter Biden plea deal, who tried to slide a fast one by the judge. Here is the response to Herr Weiss’ (don’t want to prejudice anyone by implying he’s just a Russkie) motion to vacate the Judge’s order. It’s fairly short, but the most relevant part for my objection to the Ayatollah Weiss (see, I’m spreading it around) being named Special Counsel is paragraph 4, and the last line of paragraph 5.

He has no business being named Special Counsel unless he’s upped his percentage to the Big Guy by 20%, or more.

ETA: Oh, and another thing …

The Biden transition team and the Secret Service were tipped off in December of 2020 that Hunter Biden was scheduled to be interviewed by Generalísimo Weiss. They quashed the interview and we never heard a peep from (I’m all out of fascist titles) DB Weiss.

And one final point. I’ve heard Emperor Weiss and AG Garland, on multiple occasions (not just repeats on PMSNBC), say that he (Weiss) has all of the power that he needs and doesn’t need to be appointed Special Counsel. Hmm…

Those may all be valid concerns. I was only responding about the tweet.

“Nah, I’m not buying it,” said California Congressman Eric Swalwell. “If you’re wanting me to believe President Biden and his family have been involved in a far-reaching money-for-favors scheme for years, you’ll need to show me a lot more than rock-solid, irrefutable evidence. If the Biden family was corrupt, I think I would have heard about it from my Chinese spy girlfriend.”

Nope. They’re demanding increasingly more and more tax breaks. Nothing about workforce.

This is a flyer being handed out to illegals crossing the Mexico border. But … but I thought New York was a sanctuary city?

NY has agreed with themselves that anyone has a right to shelter in the state, and are paying $10k/mo/person for all comers. They’re going broke but too woke to can the dumb policy.

NY politicians might be counting on that, eventually, just like education debts, the federal government will pick up the tab, i.e. the rest of us.

I feel like someone is going to get fired for this flyer. Feels like someone with some common sense went rogue printing these, and it isnt really an official update. I’m not entirely convinced that flyer even is being handed out.

I’d expect any real flyer to at least have a translation in Spanish. And maybe Ukrainian.

The “crisis” is certainly probably real

It is, but the NYC mayor, who can’t handle criticism from an old lady without playing the race card, is trying to make NY a sanctuary state …

“Name me a single objective we’ve ever set out to accomplish that we’ve failed on. Name me one!”

If you dont try (cough…border security…cough), then you cant have failed, right? Besides most of the criticism comes from what they’ve chosen to set out to accomplish, not that they failed (failure would’ve been welcomed).

This section, also known as the Disqualification Clause, bars from office any government officer who takes an oath to defend the Constitution and then engages in or aids an insurrection against the United States.

Some might say that many prominent Democrats are equally disqualified under that clause, after publically supporting and even marching with protestors while they torched city blocks, assulted a Federal Courthouse, and commandeered an entire section of a city declaring it autonomous. That was conscious, calculated, and prolonged.

Who might say that, legal scholars?

I’m no legal scholar, but I don’t remember any prominent Democrats engaging in insurrection or rebellion against the United States. I also don’t remember them encouraging, engaging in, endorsing, or defending the destruction of private or public property. So what are you talking about?
