The 2024 election politics

Rank choice voting initiatives did not do well except for Alaska. Note the $110 million spent on the ‘for RCV side. I think this is Democrat party money or at least leftist donors.

Instead, the election reform movement lost almost everywhere it appeared on a statewide ballot.

In Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, Oregon and South Dakota — a mixture of red, blue and purple states — voters rejected either ranked choice voting, open primaries or a combination of both.

In Alaska, an attempt this year to repeal open primaries and ranked choice voting appears to have fallen just short of passing, garnering 49.9% support in results released Wednesday. Final results are expected to be certified Nov. 30.

Open primaries are stupid. Especially when combined with ranked choice. An open primary is otherwise called an election. And ranked choice eliminates the purpose of a primary altogether.

It quickly came into play — twice — in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District. Then-GOP Rep. Bruce Poliquin won the most first choice votes in 2018, but lost to Democratic Rep. Jared Golden when votes were reallocated after removing the third- and fourth-place finishers.

You say this makes it wrong. But ignore the fact that with a traditional primary/vote only the top two (one Rep, one Dem) would’ve been on the ballot and the voting result would’ve been the same. Even with all 4 candidates, without the ability to rank choices, the election would’ve played out entirely different, consolidating support behind one Dem candidate prior to the election to avoid splitting the vote, rather than allow it to consolidate via the ranking process.

Biden pardons Hunter.

Gotta insulate himself from further investigation of influence peddling. Hunter was the weak spot.

Biden shows clear signs of dementia. Doubt anybody would go through the futile effort of investigating, interviewing, deposing, or prosecuting an elderly person under those circumstances. He’s just protecting his son, as he’s likely done many times in the past.

A decade of crime pays off, and 10% to the Big Guy.

The president issued a “full and unconditional pardon” for any offenses Hunter Biden has “committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 1, 2014 through December 1, 2024," according to the White House statement.

Sure pays to be a Biden. Getting away with $10M’s worth of foreign influence peddling as an unregistered foreign agent, deducting your hookers on your taxes, flaunting gun laws your dad signed and endorsed, sex trafficking and of course plenty of drugs…

I thought it was because everyone has narcan now and they’re not afraid to use it?

Yes, Narcan is very safe and avail. Only side effect is withdrawal symptoms. We still need to control drugs demand, if not we’ll keep playing cat and mouse with a new supply

Anyone want to offer odds that the Big Guy’s brother gets a pardon too? The whole Biden Crime Family ™ could use some assurances.

Also, I thought it was interesting that he went back to 2014 for Hunter, which was right when they started up the Ukraine post-coup corruption, million dollar board seats for doing nothing at Burisma, etc. I’m sure a whole lot more money changed hands than we know about given Biden was holding up $1B of US aid to force them to stop corruption investigations into the guys who would later pay his son the big bucks.

France the leftist government failed. They’re not quite kicking out Le Pen but asking they “respect the will of the voters.” Fancy that!

French politics are weird. They keep passing these no confidence votes, but Macron hangs on.

From this article.

The no-confidence vote delivered a broadside to Macron who in September rejected a nominee for prime minister from the New Popular Front, a leftist coalition that won the most votes in the snap elections. Opponents accused Macron of defying the will of voters.

Barnier’s fall, just three months into his term, has now amplified calls from the alliance’s largest party, far-left France Unbowed, for Macron himself to resign—an option the president has dismissed.

Btw Barnier is the prime minister appointed by Macron

Please don’t talk about fearless leader DJT like that. He can’t do martial law yet. Wait till 1/20. Apparently it will be only for one day. Just like in SK.

Six hours then? From 10 PM to 4 AM?
That SK event didn’t last long. Must be the new Guinness record.

Well you want to avoid rush hour, and do it during people sleeping to avoid issues.

In case you didn’t know who was guilty of crimes in support of the Biden Regime.

include such members of Congress’ Jan. 6 Committee as Sen.-elect Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and former GOP Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming. Trump has previously said Cheney “should go to Jail along with the rest of the Unselect Committee!” Also mentioned by Biden’s aides for a pardon is Anthony Fauci, the former head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who became a lightning rod for criticism from the right during the Covid-19 pandemic.
