When Biden follows something Trump put in place (but didn’t enact because everyone told him not to) and it doesn’t work out - “That was Trump’s fault. I couldn’t change the plan.”

When Biden changes something Trump put in place that was working but pissing off Biden’s base (Remain in Mexico) and is taken to court over it, “I can do what I want.”

Come on.

The USS Ronald Reagan reportedly escorting Pelosi is also approaching Taiwan island. A Beijing-based think tank, the South China Sea Strategic Situation Probing Initiative, said that the USS Reagan carrier strike group is already in nearby waters east of the Bashi Channel, the water between Philippine and Taiwan island.

Amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli is also near Japan’s island of Okinawa and amphibious assault ship USS America is deployed in Sasebo, Japan, according to the Nikkei.

The media noted that the U.S. Air Force has sent two HC-130J Combat King IIs to Okinawa from Anchorage, Alaska along with multiple KC-135 Stratotankers.

why does everything Biden touches turn to shit? I’m pissed. A never Trumper who voted for him in 2020, then became a never-Trumper again and now I will vote for ANY Republican who runs. Inc. Trump Final!! If another Republican wins and it’s not Trump (if he does not get the nomination or if he changes his mind,) Trump should be the next Homeland Security Chairman (border czar) and the head military officer…both. Went to NYC for the first time in 3 years (since retirement) from NYPD. Gramercy Park area where I worked. used to be a good area for years…1) saw a homeless man defecating on ft steps of a luxury condo on Lexington and 33rd…(as I walked back to Grand Central…2) saw a busload of 30 teenagers and men being dropped off in front of a NYC homeless shelter on 41st and 2nd ave. Bus had Arizona plates. No English is being spoken. At Grand Central, my old officers were handcuffing a big black guy for molesting a girl in the train waiting area. My old friends told me the scoop on what is going on throughout the city and others. Good officers have left already and the libs in the City Council refuse to open up a new police class. So no replacements on the horizon. They vote down mayor Adams for requesting 1100 new officers!! Maybe a war would be good? Anything to take the spotlight off of Bidena and our economy and border and crime… Never was so happy to get on a Metro North train back to Putnam Country. Mask req. still in effect on mass transit in NYC and metro North. Loads of violators also.

Why are you blaming the president for NYC’s problems?

Seems like most of those are on the last mayor (covid, waste, schools) and the current DA (crime), although I guess the bail reform disaster was at the state level for a couple years back.

Well, sounds like he’s living in the same state but complaining about the city and blaming the problems on the president. It just doesn’t make sense to an outsider without an explanation, so I can only assume he’s been fed a steady diet of right wing propaganda that blames everything on the current president, even if it’s unrelated or tangential. But I’m asking the question to clarify!

The fallout from the Biden administration’s catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan continues

Since the Taliban’s takeover of the war-torn country in August, attacks by Islamic State group militants against the group have risen. The rise has increased the possibility of a wider conflict between the two Islamist organizations.

IS holds a strong presence in the eastern province of Nangarhar and considers the Taliban an enemy. It has claimed several attacks against them, including several killings in the provincial capital of Jalalabad.

Attacks in Kabul have so far been rare, but in recent weeks IS has shown signs it is expanding its footprint beyond the east and closer toward the capital. On Friday, Taliban fighters raided an IS hideout just north of Kabul in Parwan province. The raid came after an IS roadside bomb wounded four Taliban fighters in the area.

On Saturday, two Taliban members and a pair of civilians were killed by gunmen in an attack in the eastern city of Jalalabad.

I do not know the details of how this deal could be disapproved by Congress. Do they need to pass a bill and get it signed by Biden?

Here’s what happened in 2015 that allowed the Obama travesty to come into affect. Apparently the bill to disapprove can be filibustered. With the Democrats in charge of the Senate now, it will not even come up for a vote IMO. This will force Israel to act and almost certainly precipitate an all out war in the Middle East.

In a final effort to stop the deal, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) proposed S Amdt 2656 to S Amdt 2640. The amendment proposed prohibiting “the President from waiving, suspending, reducing, providing relief from, or otherwise limiting the application of sanctions pursuant to an agreement related to the nuclear program of Iran.”[23] Senate Democrats filibustered the measure on September 17, 2015, by a vote of 53-45.[23]Congress did not pass any legislation that approved of or rejected the deal, despite many attempts to do so.
