The 2020 USA POTUS election politics, the civil war, and the world war (Part 2)

That’s impossible, must be some ultra MAGA fake news. Everyone knows Chicago has gun control laws, so you can’t be mugged with a gun there.

Ugh. More “this laptop stuff is Russian misinformation! I have no actual knowledge about it, but I use to work for the government so I’m an expert!” crap.

Biden’s dilemma

The death of Queen Elizabeth II, a truly remarkable human being, has left Biden with something of a problem:

How can he possibly send a phony poser like Kamala Harris to the funeral of such a prestigious individual as the Queen? It would be an embarrassment for the United States of America to have Harris anywhere near that service. This not to mention the threat that she might be unable to control her inevitable cackling. What if somebody should interview Harris? Out might come her often unintelligible, tangled and hollow, California ramblings.

I’m not saying Biden himself will do a whole lot better. But representing America in a manner exceeding Kamala’s woeful ability is not a very high bar to set.

Problem solved. Biden is attending personally.

This is a wise move. No way does Kamala belong within a thousand miles of that funeral service.

Garland has appealed a portion of Judge Cannon’s decision. And the appeal will be heard first by the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals as I wrote earlier.

However, importantly:

The appeal will not be heard initially by the Court sitting en banc. It will be heard instead by just a three judge panel, with those judges being chosen at random from among the entirety of the court members.

So roll the dice. Friends, this is gonna be interesting!

IL is going pro-criminal in a new law set to take effect next year. Many offenses will not be subject to detainment nor will most criminals be held pending trial.

Under the new law, entire categories of crime, such as aggravated batteries, robberies, burglaries, hate crimes, aggravated DUIs, vehicular homicide, drug induced homicides, all drug offenses, including delivery of fentanyl and trafficking cases, are not eligible for detention no matter the severity of the crime or the defendant’s risk to a specific person or the community, unless the People prove by clear and convincing evidence the person has a “high likelihood of willful flight to avoid prosecution.”

Additionally, in cases involving non-probationable forcible felonies, such as murder and armed robbery, judges may only detain a defendant under the new law if the prosecution proves by clear and convincing evidence the defendant “poses a real and present threat to the safety of a specific, identifiable person or persons.”

Virtually unlimited resources of the Federal Government being used to harass and intimidate Trump aides and associates

It’s a “full court press” from the Biden “Justice” Department. The goal:

Make it impossible for Trump to hire on the team he will need in order to have a chance for victory in 2024. It’s easy for the “Justice” Department to intimidate would-be Trump associates by threatening them with likelihood of legal expenses only a millionaire could afford.

“Sure, I support Trump and want to go to bat for him. But I have a family so I cannot risk the outrageous legal expenses working for Trump might entail.”

That is how the thinking will go, Garland knows it, and he is using it as a cudgel against the entire MAGA world.

The guy is a total scumbag. But with a supportive, unquestioning press he is getting away easily with this method of attack. If you detest Trump this is probably fine with you. But Trump supporters need to bear in mind that your tax dollars are paying for this attack on your man.

Laptop recap

Hidden inside the laptop, according to those (almost exclusively on the right) who have reviewed the data or who trust the word of those who claim they have, is a corruption scandal that implicates not just Hunter but other members of the Biden family, including the president. The laptop details Hunter’s involvement with a Ukrainian natural-gas producer that paid him millions of dollars to serve on its board — the relationship at the center of Donald Trump’s first impeachment. It shows how a Chinese energy company directed millions of dollars in consulting fees to Hunter and his uncle. It reveals White House meetings and slush-fund dinners and wheeling and dealing, from Romania to Monte Carlo to Cafe Milano. Most important, these people claim the laptop contains proof that, despite his denials, Joe Biden — allegedly referred to in emails as “the big guy” — was fully aware of, and looking to profit from, his son’s business activities.

And here is another example. BS of this magnitude has not existed prior during my long lifetime:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/trump-backer-says-fbi-showed-up-at-her-home-after-she-voiced-support-online/ar-AA11KURH

Lisa Gallagher told “Tucker Carlson Tonight” that she believes federal agents visited her home, where she displays a pro-Trump lawn sign, to intimidate her a day after President Biden’s anti-MAGA speech.

So if you display a pro-Trump, or a MAGA, lawn sign some anonymous Democrat POS calls the FBI on you and they actually send armed agents out to frighten, harass, and intimidate you!

Joseph Stalin and Joe Biden have more in common than just their first names.

Anyone who believes this sort of thing is OK in any way or at any level is seriously delusional. That poor woman thought she was living in my America. For your information and edification, this is NOT the America I grew up in and lived in for decades. And if you like what is going on, keep voting Democrat. They have plenty more where this came from.

Socialism is the gateway to communism.

I mean, she was essentially “Swatted”, but it’s hard to blame the government for this one. She’s a nobody who wouldnt be on their radar at all. Someone with a grudge tried to set her up using the right buzzwords, for whatever reason. The agents were just following up as they’re supposed to do.

Any FBI agent, detective, patrol officer, whoever who shows up at your door for any reason is going to be “armed”, that doesnt mean their weapons were drawn or the visit was remotely hostile - neither of which were claimed by this lady, just implied by her repeating “armed agents”.

This report is bait - dont take it, there’s much mroe legit things to get riled up over.

Your “don’t worry, be happy” denial of this matter’s seriousness is instructive for me. It helps me understand how we have arrived in the first place at the present state of affairs…

I suppose acceptance of blatant wrongs, and turning away, is one way of dealing with them. So is pointing to unspecified other wrongs as being the real threats. Those are bogus salves. But to paraphrase the lyric, what I know you likely have not had time to learn. And I lack the ability to teach calculus to a cat. So good luck going forward. You just might need it.

Biden May Buy Oil Just Below $80; Democrats Stymied Trump at $24

  • Trump proposed filling strategic reserve at rock-bottom prices

  • Democrats had crowed about blocking an oil industry bailout

The Biden administration is considering replenishing the Strategic Petroleum Reserve when oil dips below $80 a barrel, just two years after Democrats blocked former President Donald Trump from filling the reserve at a fraction of that price.

Biden in March ordered the release of a record 180 million barrels of oil from the reserve in an attempt to stem supply shortages and the rapid rise of gasoline prices in the US following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The administration now is looking to protect US oil-production growth and prevent crude prices from plummeting, according to people familiar with the matter.

Trump in March of 2020 was looking to stabilize the oil industry after Covid-19 hit in 2020 and crushed global petroleum demand. With oil at the time priced at about $24 a barrel, Republicans proposed spending $3 billion to fill up the reserve. But the idea became a political football in larger negotiations on trillions in coronavirus relief, with Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer proclaiming that his party had blocked a “bailout for big oil.”

That decision effectively cost the US billions in potential profits and meant Biden had tens of millions of fewer barrels at his disposal with which to counter price surges.

It also will take more oil to fill the reserve than two years ago. In March 2020, the reserve had 634 million barrels stored out of a capacity of 727 million barrels. After a record drawdown last week, the reserve is down to 442 million barrels, its lowest level since 1984.

Benchmark US oil futures jumped by almost $3 a barrel after Bloomberg reported the White House plan to restock emergency reserves. The contract settled close to a one-week high at $87.31 on Tuesday, extending the year-to-date advance to 16%.

Democrats possess the special ability to raise hypocrisy to an art form. With them in charge America has no worries whatsoever. It’s all good.

Biden hypocrisy on full display

It’s serious, or at least could’ve been. But it in no way is a reflection on the DOJ, they didnt target her because she was a Trump supporter. Someone may have, but it wasnt the Federal government…

You’re being naïve. I suppose you think that the DOJ and FBI were not targeting parents who spoke up at school board meetings? Do you think they were just responding to a legitimate concern by the school board association?

Edit. Another case of the FBI “just doing their job”. By the way Mike Lindell my pillow guy, a prominent Trump support

You’re really trying to equate the profile of the MyPillow guy to some random lady with a Trump sign in her yard who made a couple supportive facebook posts?

Does it happen? Sure. But not in this instance.

The point we’re trying to make is how wrong it is for the instrumentalities of government, be it the FBI, the Justice Department, the IRS, or whatever to become involved in politics.

The sort of weaponization and politicization of government entities seen today is not new for Democrats or for their brethren in totalitarian societies. It’s what they do!

Do you remember Lois Lerner?

And my point is, that isnt what happened in this case. They didnt raid her home because of the Trump sign in her yard. They received a legit tip (as “legit” as an anonymous tip can be) and investigated it appropriately. By all accounts, nothing about the visit itself was remotely out of line; they asked questions, she answered, and they moved on. When you have to keep stressing that the FBI Agents knocking on your door were armed, you are really really reaching for a reason to claim it was egregious.

OK, we have a simple disagreement. I’m certain the visit was motivated by politics, you do not think it was. We do not agree.

For the record, I also believe the Mar-a-Lago raid was politically motivated, as was the phony Trump-Russia investigation, as are the current January Sixth “hearings” . . . . . and so much more.

I also believe ongoing suppression of the Hunter laptop information, and failure there to follow up, is politically motivated.

So perhaps our disagreements extend far afield from a mere armed raid on an innocuous Trump supporter.

For the record I think Trump has the persona of a jackass. I don’t like him. But his policies certainly were immeasurably better for America than those of Biden the destroyer. And, unlike many, I have the ability to separate policy and persona.
