The 2020 USA POTUS election politics, the civil war, and the world war (Part 2)

unfortunately, the case would be tried by a DC court with possibly a DC jury. If I recall correctly, Washington DC voted for Biden with over 90% of the vote.

Biden Justice Department resorts to Gestapo tactics in vendetta against political opponent O’Keefe

Their raid on O’Keefe’s personal home by Biden’s political allies would have made Herr Hermann Göring proud. Of course their excuse centered on the diary. But Biden’s secret police used that subterfuge to seize everything they could regarding all of Project Veritas’s ongoing investigations.

The massive amount of non-relevant material will supposedly be protected.

FAT CHANCE!

Welcome to Biden’s police state, currently being overseen by Herr Garland.

Heil Biden!

That is from my earlier post. What I failed to state is that any Democrat is beloved in DC.

Exactly. But I messed up earlier when I failed to take the following into consideration. To wit:

The same applies to Durham.

Call me “Mr. obvious” but I missed this. I failed to consider it when thinking of Durham’s investigation. He will be facing a massive DC political headwind as he tries to go about prosecuting any Democrat for anything in Washington, D.C

As I posted up thread, Hillary is the primary motivator for all the false attacks on Trump. She also certainly colluded with the Russians in that endeavour. But, however:

Can you imagine the reception any effort to prosecute Hillary will receive in DC? She will be just as safe as if she were at home sound asleep in her own bed guarded by the Secret Service! No DC judge or jury will join in an effort to punish Hillary Clinton as she clearly well deserves.

Having finally awakened to the above reality I really feel sorry for Mr. Durham. He may try regardless. But he has an almost impossible task awaiting him. And unlike me, he has known this from the jump.

It was literally inequitable,” he said. “As a teacher you get frustrated because what you signed up for was for students to learn. And it just ended up being a conversation about points all the time.”

Except, a points based system is the definition equitable. Do the work get the points, don’t do the work and don’t get the points; learn the info get the points, don’t learn the info and don’t get the points.

You either know the material or you do not, regardless of if you take care of your siblings after school every day, or if your parents hire tutors for hours every day. Basing grades off each individual’s circumstances makes the class inherently inequitable.

A perfect example of progressives putting bad incentives into schools for their own political ends and in spite of what parents want. If we get rid of grades and SATs, maybe then you’ll have to hire all these incompetent minorities since to do otherwise would be Racist and you won’t have any external justification for picking the better students.

Traditional grading has often been used to “justify and to provide unequal educational opportunities based on a student’s race or class,” said a letter sent by Yoshimoto-Towery and Pedro A. Garcia, senior executive director of the division of instruction, to principals last month.

“By continuing to use century-old grading practices, we inadvertently perpetuate achievement and opportunity gaps, rewarding our most privileged students and punishing those who are not,” their letter said, quoting educational grading consultant Joe Feldman.

Or maybe the old system is just giving good grades to those who are smart enough and diligent enough to do the work given to them. Why are the left’s favored minorities so lazy and stupid, and why moreso lately, and why of all things should they be rewarded for this?

Teachers are to remove factors such as behavior, punctuality, effort and work habits from academic grades and shift them to a student’s “citizenship” grade, which is often factored into sports and extra-curricular eligibility

Nah, no one cares that you show up for work on time, do your job, and avoid getting into fights.

I have never understood why these favored minorities aren’t pissed at the Left, for claiming their entire race is inherently too stupid to pass a test.

I guess the soft bigotry of low expectations is working out. The progressives’ latest approach has been described as biological Leninism, where you promise status / money / better jobs than they deserve to people on the bottom in a race-based way, and then those groups keep voting for you since (most of) them know they didn’t earn it and don’t deserve it and if the Other Guy Wins, they’re getting kicked out.

https://spandrell.com/2017/11/14/biological-leninism/

Socialism works not only because it promises higher status to a lot of people. Socialism is catnip because it promises status to people who, deep down, know they shouldn’t have it
the genius of Leninism was in building a ruling class from scratch and making it cohesive by explicitly choosing people from low-status groups, ensuring they would be loyal to the party given they had much to lose.

How about those 65 genders again, or BLM or CRT?

in many ways nonsense is a more effective organizing tool than the truth. Anyone can believe in the truth. To believe in nonsense is an unforgeable demonstration of loyalty. It serves as a political uniform. And if you have a uniform, you have an army.

A good uniform for a good liberal.

promise them high status for being loyal to you; you bet they’re gonna join your team. They have much to gain, little to lose. The Coalition of the Fringes, Sailer calls it. It’s worse than that really. It’s the coalition of everyone who would lose status the better society were run. It’s the coalition of the bad. Literal Kakistocracy.

And you wonder why things are already going badly just under a year of Dear Leader’s cabinet of Diversity and not competence?

I fear the day when teachers’ yearly evaluations will be based on how many of their students received passing grades (C or better). You know
if the teacher isn’t enlightened enough to realize the importance of equity in grading, then the teacher might need the incentive of a “needs improvement” performance review to make him/her see the light.

Disagree with Trump at your own risk

I once told @scripta I thought Trump was a putz . . . or something like that. He can be irritating at times. And too often I have found myself in disagreement with the Trumpster regarding this or that issue . . . . but with hesitation. The latter comes because too often, in the past, Trump has turned out to be right about stuff which seemed at best implausible when he shot his big mouth off.

Now this:

Do you remember when Trump went ballistic over Nord Stream 2? And of course the Germans got pissed off and, in effect, told him to go F himself while the American mainstream media jumped in on their side. It was a huge contretemps back in 2018 and 2019. Trump did not prevail and he lost the election and that was that.

Until now!

Because the Germans themselves just put the kibosh on Nord Stream 2, at least temporarily. And of course Putin is pissed. The damn pipeline is by now completed and Russia needs the money big time.

From the BBC: (Natural) gas prices soar after setback for Russian pipeline

They’re attacking the CBO score in advance, which is spin. They’ll ask people to trust their competence at running the “true” numbers better than the nonpartisan scorekeeper. Aside from this being a bad look in general, who trusts the Biden administration’s competence at this point?

I still think the so-called moderates will cave but we can hope.

They just said today they hoped to pass the Build Back Bigger bill by Xmas.

In particular, that’s after the budget / govt shutdown deadline in early Dec. given the Republicans already gave them a pass earlier on delaying the shutdown earlier, so I think this time it will look like the Democrats fault if they can’t get it done this time around and hence the BBB bill will be up for negotiation in combination with the shutdown negotiations. I suspect and hope the $3.5T bill, now $2T bill, will end up a fair bit smaller yet by the end.

Herr Garland

Herr Garland

In the best Nazi tradition, Garland is directing his FBI Secret Police to intimidate and harass parents who object to their school boards’ liberal thinking.

You had BETTER NOT make known your disagreement with the Biden/Garland agenda. Herr Garland has jails waiting for people like you who do. His FBI is ready to take your name and, later, to take away your freedom. After all, Garland’s son-in-law makes a living pushing and perpetuating the woke agenda!!

Hyperbole? You think so?

Catch this Wall Street Journal article:

FBI Tracks Threats Against Teachers, School-Board Members

WASHINGTON—The Federal Bureau of Investigation has set up a process to track threats against school-board members and teachers, moving to implement a Justice Department directive that some law-enforcement officials and Republican lawmakers say could improperly target parents protesting local education policies.

The heads of the FBI’s criminal and counterterrorism divisions instructed agents in an Oct. 20 memo to flag all assessments and investigations into potentially criminal threats, harassment and intimidation of educators with a “threat tag,” which the officials said would allow them to evaluate the scope of the problem.

The internal email asks FBI agents to consider the motivation behind any criminal activity and whether it potentially violates federal law. Agents should tag such threats “EDUOFFICIALS” to better track them, according to the memo, which was reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.

“The purpose of the threat tag is to help scope this threat on a national level, and provide an opportunity for comprehensive analysis of the threat picture for effective engagement with law enforcement partners at all levels,” says the email signed by Timothy Langan, the FBI’s assistant director for counterterrorism, and Calvin Shivers, the assistant director of the bureau’s criminal division, who retired this month.

An FBI agent provided a copy of the internal email to several Republican lawmakers, citing concerns that it could open the door for the bureau to collect information on parents voicing their opposition to local school policies during meetings.

Some Republicans say the Justice Department is thrusting the FBI into what is usually considered a local issue. They say the tactics are an effort to silence parents who speak out at school-board meetings about topics such as mask mandates and how race is addressed in schools.

Republicans have said the Justice Department is treating parents like “domestic terrorists” by involving its National Security Division in Mr. Garland’s initiative. The agent expressed concern to lawmakers that the use of counterterrorism resources to track such investigations could potentially blur that line.

So welcome to Herr Biden’s America, overseen by Herr Garland. Of course they deny everything. And we have over three more years of this ahead. Things will only become worse as our freedom and liberty are first eroded and then impaled. Freedom dies as the Democrats continue to lie.

Biden continues viciously to attack domestic natural gas industry

Biden has once again caved to the climate change crazies who fear low-polluting natural gas most of all.

From the AP:

Regulators seek to suspend Trump rule on railway natural gas

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Federal regulators have proposed suspending a Trump administration rule that would have allowed railroads to haul liquefied natural gas

So once again we have Biden and his idiotic followers reversing wise and inspired Trump policy.

I hope this coming winter finds many of these climate change nut cases shivering in their dark, cold, city apartments and suburban homes. That appears to be the outcome they prefer.

This ongoing Boebert-Omar dust up is multifaceted. However, one fact appears now to have emerged based on DNA evidence:

Omar did indeed marry her brother in order for him to enter America legally, or I guess legally. I’m not sure of that. Is it legal to gain entry by marrying your sister? I dunno.

Anyway, that DNA evidence was VERY difficult to obtain. It was a multi-continental endeavour requiring expenditure of a large sum of money. But no such fact finding mission, when perpetrated against a Democrat, goes unpunished:

The key guy who “got 'er done” and collected that DNA has now been thrown into jail by Biden’s FBI Gestapo.

No American administration in history has used the instrumentalities of government against its political opponents more vigorously than this filthy Biden scofflaw juggernaut.

Oh, and by the way:

Biden has made no effort whatsoever to deport the brother. Big shock, right?

The IRS collections due to “beefed up” enforcement sounds scary as hell

The CBO reported the measure would raise more than $1.2 trillion in the form of increased IRS crackdowns on tax cheats, higher taxes and other increased revenues but that overall spending on a myriad of social and climate priorities would lead to a net cost. Covering the period from 2022 to 2031, the projection concludes that expenses would outweigh revenues by $367 billion but that beefed up IRS enforcement would bring in another $207 billion, leaving a deficit of roughly $160 billion.
