Well, enough merriment. It looks like the so-called House “moderates” have enough cover to vote for the spendaloooza BBB bill. They claim that the IRS estimate is better than the CBO. It hasn’t passed yet but I think it’s a lock.

House Democrats cleared a key procedural hurdle Thursday evening and moved closer to holding a long-awaited floor vote on President Joe Biden’s social safety net and climate package, with party leaders formally kicking off debate in the full chamber.

From where I sit this was never in doubt. These people are Democrats after all!! Spending other people’s money is what they do best.

CBO said it was around $150-200B short of being revenue neutral in the 10 year period. Admittedly that’s with a bunch of entitlements truncated at the 6 year mark, so if you extend those, it’s more like $5T instead of $2T.

Based on CBO’s scores, we estimate the House’s Build Back Better Act includes over $2.4 trillion of spending increases and tax cuts through 2031 and nearly $2.3 trillion of offsets - though the numbers can vary depending on how certain provisions are classified. Because the legislation includes a number of temporary programs with arbitrary sunsets and expirations, ultimate costs could be much higher. We previously estimated that extending temporary provisions in the bill would double its gross costs to nearly $5 trillion.

They could almost balance it if they took out the $110B they’re blowing to further illegal immigration, but of course that’s a priority. We all know illegal immigrants are brought into the country to do the jobs Americans won’t, like vote Democrat.

+The House fully pays for an increase in the SALT deduction cap through 2026 on paper by extending the cap beyond 2026 after most provisions of the TCJA have expired. While this change raises revenue relative to current law, it would substantially increase the cost of extending the TCJA and thus is likely to result in lower revenue collections over time. We nonetheless count the new revenue as an offset in our official tally.

Lol at this giant asterisk on the claim that the $80k SALT cap is actually a $15b positive and not a $275b negative.

Insurance policy pays off. Country wishes Biden the best during his routine procedure, lest we get stuck with the alternative.

BIDEN TO UNDERGO ROUTINE COLONOSCOPY DURING ROUTINE PHYSICAL ON FRIDAY
BIDEN WILL TRANSFER POWER TO THE VICE PRESIDENT FOR THE BRIEF PERIOD OF TIME WHEN HE IS UNDER ANESTHESIA -WHITE HOUSE

I certainly do . . . regardless that I detest Biden.

It is chilling and dispiriting to have her at the helm even for a brief interval. There are literally tens of millions of smart, capable females in America readily able to assume Presidential duty. And that certainly includes women of color.

Yet we end up with Kamala, a person even many Democrats find inappropriate for a leadership role. Sucks

or the snide version if you prefer

The decision was read aloud by the foreman of the jury, despite the jury on Twitter already handing down their decision of Guilty on all charges way back on August 26, 2020.

And a flashback to what happened and how the media has been on the side of the rioters for over a year now.

Some lives were lost it’s true, but perhaps they weren’t the biggest loss.

Get your cultural revolution right here!

China had Mao . .

We have Biden!

The inmates are officially running the asylum. Your vote next year will change nothing. And by January 20, 2025 it will be too late.

Biden is for America what Mao was for China

Brace yourself for this hard left turn. By the time Biden is finally through with America you will no longer recognize her.

Much as I detest Biden and resent all the harm he is doing to my country, I am grateful he came through his medical testing and exams yesterday in OK shape. I pray for his ability to continue as our President, and I concede the facts he is taking five medications, and has trouble walking and cogitating, are a worry. This is because:

Just having Kamala at the helm yesterday for scarcely more than one hour was deeply concerning. Bad as Biden is (and he IS!), Kamala is a couple orders of magnitude worse. Even many Democrats have no use whatsoever for her.

So Uncle Joe, while it might be asking a lot, please try to remain with us for the next three years. After that you’re on your own. :grinning:

I think you are overstating her “being at the helm”. She was not “the President”. She was merely given the authority to act on Biden’s behalf if necessary while he was unable, to make any decisions that could not wait until he was awake. It’s a formality in anticipation of an emergency, and her trying to do anything whatsoever (besides in an acute emergency situation) during that hour would’ve been exceeding her authority.

Besides, Biden’s handlers make all the decisions anyways. Biden being conscious when the decisions are made is just for the optics.

The reality of her being next in line may scare you, but that’s been scaring you all along and has nothing to do with Biden’s procedure this week.

Well let’s not underestimate the ability of these San Francisco denizens to wreck the country quickly. They know all the shortcuts to Marxism and socialism. Case in point:

Nancy Pelosi :grimacing:

And they have massive support and backing from our despicable American mainstream media.

Riot declared in Portland - Where is Trump when we need him?

Trump, of course, cannot help this time. And these are Biden’s people so don’t look to him for assistance.

I do not live in Portland, or anywhere close by, because I have been blessed by Almighty God. What a bunch of insane jackasses!!

Tenth House Democrat announces retirement

These people know when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em!

Sadly the change to Republican control will arrive too late to save the country. Biden will still be there to veto any remedial measures the Republicans seek to put into law.

Ten Democrats, at least, will be gone. It’s sadly not enough.

We need for all the Democrats to be gone, including Biden and Harris.

Censorship around the Rittenhouse trial.

Within days of the August 2020 shootings, Facebook labeled Rittenhouse a mass murderer, telling Breitbart: “We’ve designated the shooting in Kenosha a mass murder and are removing posts in support of the shooter.” It also blocked search results on “Kyle Rittenhouse.”

In September 2020, Twitter suspended the account of Rittenhouse’s attorney for attempting to raise funds for the teenager’s defense. GoFundMe cited its policies against supporting those charged with violent crimes when thwarting efforts to pay for Rittenhouse’s legal fees, despite plenty of similar fundraisers remaining live. Only after the verdict of innocence was reached would GoFundMe allow campaigns to help pay for the teen’s legal fees and living expenses.

During Rittenhouse’s trial, Facebook again blocked search results on his name, leaving users to converse about it only on their profiles or in their subscribed feeds. And YouTube suspended live streams about the trial hosted by independent legal analysts.

This morning I experienced some censorship as well when I tried to read a link where the URL included his name. One of my ad-blockers refused to open the webpage to the news article, so apparently the censorship continues even after the trial.

Oddly, unlike the innocent Mr Rittenhouse, BLM criminals and related grifters received favorable news and media coverage, and were able to raise large amounts of money while largely remaining unincarcerated.

The NY Times reports that the Waukesha perp mowed down participants in a holiday parade.

All other sources I am seeing report that it was a Christmas parade.

Explanation:

Use of the appellation “Christ” invokes reference to a deity above government in the divine hierarchy. At the NY Times there IS NO deity superior to government, with the possible exception of global climate change. Hence their use of the word “holiday” in order to avoid mention or recognition of Jesus Christ.

ETA

After further review, now am finding both NBC and CBS referring to it as a “holiday” parade. Figures. Same explanation as above.
