Decades ago the bleeding heart liberals of that time insisted we close down all the mental institutions and allow the residents living therein to co-mingle with the population at large.
I had no clue at the time and was oblivious to the reality when that was going on. But their real goal was to destabilize society as a whole in order to pave the way for their desired totalitarian, socialist/Marxist outcomes.

No, the $1,000 bond was what he was out on WHEN HE COMMITTED the mass murder. He will not get a bond for the murders.

I certainly hope that they keep this maniac locked up for life. But knowing what we know about our justice system this monster will be released before the funerals of his victims.

Once the suspect, Darrell Brooks, Jr. was identified, the story became clear. Brooks was a career criminal (or a repeat offender, however you’d like to classify him), most recently accused of “running over the mother of his child with a vehicle in a gas station parking lot” on November 2. On November 5, he was charged with “second-degree recklessly endangering safety with domestic abuse assessments, disorderly conduct with domestic abuse assessments and felony bail jumping.” At the time of these offenses, he was already “on bail after being accused of shooting at his nephew in July 2020.”
In other words, Brooks had already attempted to kill his nephew and his baby’s mother. He was a flight risk and a danger to the community. On November 19, the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office let him go on $1,000 bail.
Days later the firefighters were hosing down the blood off the streets.
And also making the point that the place that released him wasn’t the place where he killed people, this time anyway.
The release of a violent felon on $1,000 bail was the culmination of years of “reform” by Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm, who was touted in 2015 as a “national leader in law enforcement” – at least according to progressive values. As promoted by the liberal Vera Institute:
“Prosecutors have to redefine their proper role in a new era. Chisholm stuck his neck out there and started saying that prosecutors should also be judged by their success in reducing mass incarceration and achieving racial equality.”
The people of Waukesha County didn’t sign up for this – they have their own district attorney. But their interests didn’t matter to Milwaukee County DA Chisholm. Waukesha County, just like the rest of Wisconsin, would be subjected to Chisholm’s preferred policies anyways.

I heard something about Chisholm “opening an investigation” into why his office asked for such low bail on the murderer’s last charge, as if he hasn’t instructed his assistant DAs to decrease bail requests for years now.

Brooks is said to have a long criminal history, with 15 arrests since 1999 in Wisconsin alone.
Charges include possession of drugs, strangulation and suffocation and battery.
In Nevada records show he is listed as a sex offender after he was charged with having sex with a minor.
A total of 48 people were injured, including 18 children… At least nine patients — most of them children — were listed in critical condition Monday at two hospitals, and seven others were reported in serious condition.

Forget a long time ago. I thought committing another crime while out on bail meant that bail was automatically revolked? Silly me.
The victims should sue the county, and DA personally, since they are as directly responsible for this as the driver himself. The DA’s job is to enforce the law, not promote social agendas.
It’ll never happen, but the cops should arrest this dumb-ass DA as a co-conspirator in the crime.

A surprising turn of events in the Democrat attack on opposition journalism. After the FBI raided Veritas under flimsy pretenses to see what they were working on next, and then conveniently leaked all the details including their legal records to NYT, a NY judge has enjoined the NYT from not publishing those materials, at least for now.

$5M bail for killing 6 people. If only they’d used a fraction of that on his last couple crimes, these people would still be alive.
Whats the odds of someone starting a GoFundMe to pay that ridiculously high and obviously racist amount?
He’s now committed two crimes while out on bail. Why does he even get the option of bail?
