The 2020 USA POTUS election politics, the civil war, and the world war (Part 2)

Comment regarding the current spate of smash and grab looting incidents:

It is noteworthy these are taking place in liberal/socialist dominated venues, especially along the west coast. There the prevailing thinking says everyone deserves the same wealth outcome regardless how hard a person works, with wealth redistribution being the order of the day. Smash and grab is merely another form of wealth redistribution, entirely in accord with the liberal mindset.

They try that sort of thing here where I live and they risk being shot straightaway, an outcome well deserved. But where the liberal/socialists dominate there is no such concern! I, like most Americans, am blessed not to be living on the west coast. And I reject and abhor their asinine thinking right across the board.

Funny thing, my husband said the same thing about those looting this morning. He keeps several guns near the kitchen door handy for whatever. But actually his shootings are mostly pesky birds.

Walnut Creek shopping mall is a beautiful place and terrible criminal activity that happened there last Saturday evening. The mall has been a favorite shopping center for me many years. It’s an hours drive for me, but I’m going to think twice about going back.

All 3 men in Arbery’s murder trial get guilty verdict

No comment… I’m not interested, so I’m hoping my regular TV stations do little reporting on the subject.

Leftist media wins this time so “Have a Ball”.

Unjust right ?

I mean, he made identical claims that he feared that obviously Arbery would take his shotgun and shoot him, so it was self defense!

Meanwhile back in Waukesha…

Spending Thanksgiving in Nantucket is a tradition of the Biden family dating back decades

At first, I thought “who cares?”, he’s just maintaining some aspects of his pre-presidency life, much like Trump did.

But Fox buried the lead. Get towards the end of the article, and you learn who it is he’s visiting - the founder of the Carlyle Group, which part of a group spending millions to torpedo Biden’s centerpiece BBB legislation.
Oh, and Glenn Youngkin, who just won the Virginia governorship, was co-chairman of the same company until last year.

For those of you who think me eating dinner at Chick-fil-A means I support hating gay people, what does this little vacation mean about Biden?

Yeah, sure, the cases are identical.

I am curious how you can be guilty of 4 counts of murder when there was only one murder? I’m sure there’s some sort of technicality, but you’d think that one body would limit you to being guilty of one murder.

New York Times faces extended ban on Project Veritas coverage

Wow what a misleading headline! The judge just stopped them from publishing material leaked to them by the FBI. He did not stop them from reporting using legitimate sources.

Yes. Self defense claims are often identical… to an extent. That is how the law works. But clearly, the facts surrounding those claims are what matters in determining if those claims represent what a reasonable person would feel at that time.

It’s “Lions and lambs” time, much to my surprise! :grinning:

I just watched Bernie Sanders, of all people, say something with which I areee! And it’s a big deal, too:

Bernie is decrying efforts to remove or water down Trump’s state and local tax measure, the $10,000 limit. Bernie has this right. He says it is a tax cut for the rich. Bernie is right again!

This has to be it for the next year. I will not agree with Bernie on anything else for that length of time. Promise! :grinning:

Way too many people in positions of influence who think their opinion is all that matters.

And they use their position of power to punish people who disagree with them.

We all know Canada is so rife with white supremacy that someone with European ancestry had to pretend to be a Native American for special perks and job prospects. Senator Warren would be proud.

My own recollection differs only slightly. I do not recall Hubert being in the same league as present day Democrats. But that had changed by 1972, with McGovern.

As for Johnson, Kennedy, Stevenson, and Truman:

In my memory they all were pro-American, a HUGE difference from the Democrats of today. Kennedy and Truman in particular were pro-American. Stevenson was a Democrat senator from (what was then but no longer) a Republican state. Johnson was something of a blowhard but I would not accuse him of being anti-American.

As for FDR, I was born during his administration so too young really to have a first hand opinion. FDR certainly had socialist tendencies. However, I would never accuse him of being anti-American.

Bottom line, the hate-America Democrats of today are most assuredly a bright line break with their predecessors. Americans living during the times of the aforementioned Democrat candidates would not have given today’s crop of despicable Democrats the time of day. They were far too smart for that.

At least they’re admitting to just being a mouthpiece for the Democrats, and have an agenda they’re selling, instead of reporting the news.

Screw the First Amendment. That was the old America. Twitter is leading the way into a newer, better, America.
