Media gushes over Jill Biden’s Christmas decor after years of knocking Melania Trump
The American mainstream media is gushing uncontrollably over Jill Biden’s Christmas decor, while using the occasion to take yet another swipe at former First Lady Melania Trump’s White House Christmas decorations, which they hated and said so repeatedly.
No bias there, right!
The truth is both First Ladies did a laudable job with their White House Christmas decorations. But Melania, as Donald Trump’s wife, was entitled only to criticism from a biased and hateful media.
Insane liberal politicians in Massachusetts, New York, and Illinois are fighting with everything they have for abortion rights for women in Mississippi and Alabama.
Wait, WHAT?
Yes, it’s true. The left wing fanatics in those liberal states and others are going to the mat to protect Roe v. Wade. But thing is, should Roe be overturned, women in those same liberal states would continue to have access to abortion, just as is now the case.
Doing away with Roe would simply return decision on abortions to the individual states. And New York, Massachusetts, Illinois, and other liberal states will NEVER pass law which cancels abortion rights for women in those states.
What strikes me about this is the lack of symmetry. While the liberals, as usual, are seeking to tell people in conservative, traditional, states how to run their lives, there is no reciprocity. The politicians in Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, and so forth are not attempting to cancel abortion rights in, for example, New York, or in Massachusetts, or in other liberal cesspool states.
This is so typical of liberals. They always know what is best. And in particular they know what is best for YOU!!
They don’t have a monopoly on that. Back when we were a Christian nation, someone wrote
CHRISTIAN, n. One who believes that the New Testament is a divinely inspired book admirably suited to the spiritual needs of his neighbor. One who follows the teachings of Christ in so far as they are not inconsistent with a life of sin.
For ye shall have the bossy, the nosy, and the hypocritical with you always…
They dont talk about it because (to them) these are not babies being killed, an abortion is no different than an appendectomy - the removal of an unwanted and unnecessary appendage.
There would be no disagreement over abortion if everyone agreed that an unborn baby is a life.
I hope you’re right about that. I want you to be right about that. And I admire your straight, clear, thinking. However:
Sadly where some liberal/socialist/Marxists are concerned, human life is cheap. I think for some of them, the Bambi brigade, animal life is more important. And for others of them, the tree huggers, preservation of forests is paramount.
If you probe only a short distance into the liberal mind you must be prepared to find all nature of insanity.
The Marxist movement is worldwide. And Christianity stands in its way. Christians put God over government. For Marxists, government is supreme and paramount.
Europe is overflowing with Marxists. They wanted formally to substitute the word “holiday” for the word “Christmas”. Nothing new there, right? Such is commonplace in our own American Marxist mainstream media.
Anyway, in Europe the Catholics shut 'em down cold, forcing the Marxists to back the hell off. I LOVE it!
Every time I hear the word “holiday” substituted for “Christmas” I want to puke. It’s just one more aspect of Marxist indoctrination. I worry that our younger people are especially susceptible to such BS.
Majority of court appears poised to uphold Mississippi’s ban on most abortions after 15 weeks
The ruling probably will not come until late June of next year. If it does go against the left, I wonder if Merrick will have his FBI arrest the justices?
It was early in October, nearly two months ago. McConnell agreed to help the Democrats on the debt ceiling extension by buying them some time with Republican votes. Back then McConnell correctly acknowledged the Democrats did not have enough time to take care of the issue on their own. So he helped out, but he warned no help would be forthcoming a second time.
That was then. This is now and of course the hapless Democrats did not work out their issues despite having had MORE than enough time. So what do they do? They blame the Republicans, of course. And in doing so they have the eager support of their fellow Marxists in the American mainstream media, for whom October apparently never even happened.
So did McConnell err in offering Democrats a break back in October? He did if he anticipated fairness and honesty from their side now. He did if he thought Democrats would accept responsibility for a problem of their own choosing, a situation totally beneath their sole control.
But I’m not going to excoriate McConnell here. He is a smart cookie and this matter remains unsettled. McConnell is attempting to extract concessions as price for Republican cooperation this time around. So far Schumer is standing firm. It will be fascinating to see, today and tomorrow, how this matter unfolds.
I can’t believe how racist those democrats are over in LA. Don’t they know that bail and legal prosecution disproportionately fall on criminals of color?
It looks like the Republicans in the Senate folded without getting anything from the Democrats.
Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, and Marshall wrote an amendment that prohibited federal dollars being spent to implement and enforce a series of vaccination mandates put in place by the Biden administration. The amendment went down to defeat 48-50. But having the vote opened the door to taking up the full spending bill immediately.
Biden‘s handlers are desperate to ink a deal because this may deter Israel from attacking Iran. Israel knows that if a deal is signed their sabotage can only go so far and Iran will get a weapon. So I expect an attack if things start looking “good”. If there is an attack, the price of oil will skyrocket .
Edit. Iran’s nuclear weapon will threaten not only Israel but also the whole Middle East and Europe
As tensions mount between Washington and Moscow over a potential Russian invasion of Ukraine, U.S. intelligence has found the Kremlin is planning a multi-front offensive as soon as early next year involving up to 175,000 troops, according to U.S. officials and an intelligence document obtained by The Washington Post.
Income data published by the IRS clearly show that on average all income brackets benefited substantially from the Republicans’ tax reform law, with the biggest beneficiaries being working and middle-income filers, not the top 1 percent, as so many Democrats have argued.
Full disclosure: I did not have a hot world war in mind when I wrote the title to this thread, however:
With the election of Biden things changed.
Given the obvious weakness in the White House, and owing to the pandemic as well, Marxist/totalitarian regimes are feeling their oats. Based on experience I have concerns in three places:
Taiwan
Ukraine
South Korea
It would not surprise me at all if hot war broke out in any, or all, of those venues. Circumstances being what they are, those three are “ripe for the pickin’” by anti-democratic forces.
None of this would be coming to pass had Trump won a second term. His unpredictability kept our adversaries off balance. Biden is not merely predictable, he is also sick. That is weakness on top of weakness.
What works in defense of liberty is Reagan’s “peace through strength”, a policy heavily influenced by John Foster Dulles before him. Today we have the opposite.
I would add Iran to that list. The Israelis cannot allow them to acquire nuclear weapons. They know that if someone says they’re going to annihilate them they need to believe them.
