Never heard of most of these folks. But at this point I’m going to vote straight down the line “R”.

Good idea but what about the first name on the list?

Kari Lake still getting a lot of buzz. I will take Tulsi over Liz any day.

Interview of two of the Republican candidates on my list above, Mayra Flores and Yesli Vega

kari-lake will be a rising star in GOP. Question is how effective she will be as Gov. She’s lucky that Ducey is leaving AZ in great fiscal shape. Hope she maintains the status quo with his appointments etc.

A large part of her success will depend on the down ballot elections in the legislature. If I recall correctly, Arizona redistricting is handled by an “independent” commission that in the past was dominated by Democrats. But the latest news seems optimistic for Republicans

The commission initially voted to finalize and certify the legislative map plan on Jan. 21.[8] The commission’s nonpartisan chairwoman, Erika Neuberg, joined the two Republican members—David Mehl and Douglas York—voting in favor of the map. The commission’s two Democratic members—Shereen Lerner and Derrick Watchman—were opposed.[9] This map takes effect for Arizona’s 2022 legislative elections.

she’s a novice though and very head strong. I used to watch her on the news over the years and she let her opinions thru from time to time.

easy on the eyes though  Like most Fox news anchors she aged out while the men are still there…

I do not trust polls especially from the New York Times. Probably trying to motivate Democrats to get out to vote. Interesting to see the strategy though. Might even be right.

Meanwhile in New York. By the way that’s Letitia on the right.

One of the recent polls, not the one paid for by Kotek’s campaign, shows Drazan ahead. Crossing fingers!

The Brazilians play for keeps. Will be interesting if the conservative Bolsonaro keeps up the trend from Sweden and Italy and wins the runoff election on October 30

Brazilian politician Roberto Jefferson fired at police while resisting arrest ordered by the country’s Supreme Court on Sunday for offending a justice, federal police said in a statement.

And also the all important soccer endorsement

A few days before Brazil’s first round of voting in this month’s general election, a 13-second TikTok video electrified supporters of President Jair Bolsonaro: soccer star Neymar coming out in favor of his re-election bid.

Edit. The connection by the left-wing news media to the United States. LOL

NY gov race might even be close, given how badly the Democrats managed their crime / bail reform / pro criminal policies.

The article is definitely from a left-wing perspective but I sense panic by the Democrats. Here is the article’s version of “Republicans pounce”

Ronald S. Lauder, the billionaire cosmetics heir, put more than $9 million into a pair of pro-Zeldin super PACs at the start of September, almost single-handedly bankrolling statewide television ads that savage Ms. Hochul’s record on public safety.

The Oz-Fester debate was tonight. It will be interesting to see how the left media spin it

More spin in that

Here’s Politico’s assessment…

Surprisingly, Fetterman is ahead in the polls as of yesterday. Hope to see new polls later this week. I’m all for supporting and helping people with disabilities, including the effects of a stroke, but a senator needs to be healthy and articulate.

People starting to admit it’s going to be close.

Differences between stated and privately held opinions were as high as 14 percentage points among all Americans and soared even higher among certain subgroups.

Maybe they just want to keep their bank accounts?

Not good news. The Democrats steal the close ones.
