.2 is 33% less than .3. While .1mL may seem negligible, 33% is not. If it doesnt matter and it’ll still work as designed (their words), why are we injecting everyone with .3mL?
A 33% variance in dosage is within “best practices”?
How does a syringe make a mistake? You either fill it to the .2 line, or you fill it to the .3 line.
Why did it take a tv station to inform those in charge of the site that this had occured, a day later?

are no mistakes in voting tabulations because that’s way more important than a “life saving” vaccine shot.

Several EU counties halting the AZN vaccine on blood clot concerns pending investigation.
five EU countries on Sunday to suspend use of a specific batch of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine as a precaution following the death of a vaccinated person.
In Europe, one person had been diagnosed with multiple blood clots and died 10 days after vaccination, the EMA said Wednesday. Another had a blood clot in their lung, and was hospitalized.

There’s a local pop up site run by Safeway/Albertson’s which is offering JNJ. I’m going to get the shot on Saturday using a 1099 for my Postmates driving last year.

AZN’s vaccine seems cursed. First it was the issues with the preliminary data, then it seems to be ineffective against several of the variants, now this.
I’m still looking to get the J&J once I become eligible. I’m warming up to Pfizer and Moderna options. But based on the available data, I don’t think I would get the AZN vaccine.

AZN and if you didn’t have enough reasons to be cautious, the WHO says it’s totally fine.
Germany meanwhile has also ceased using the AZN vaccine while health risks are further investigated.
Germans basically just want BioNtech because Germans make things best. They don’t want Moderna or JJ either.
Also what happened to all the complaints that FDA was slow walking approvals unlike Europe? Now is it OK FDA hasn’t approved AZN yet? Where is the consistency in the conspiracy theories? Has the FDA been judicious or not?

AZN you may recall was the one who couldn’t figure out what dose they’d given people to the nearest tens of billions of viral particles, and also presented their positive results from the half dose mixed up arm as the most promising while the “as originally intended” trial arms were meaningfully less good than other vaccine companies’ results.
Between the lack of biological mechanism for why a half dose would do much much better than a full dose and their manufacturing quality control issues, I think the US was right to wait, especially in the context of having substantial commitments secured from PFE and MRNA already with better numbers and no obvious screw ups.
Subsequent issues with AZN has not changed my assessment of them. I’d take it if I was older and wasn’t going to have an alternative, but given my situation I’d probably pass and wait for one of the others.

we don’t have AZN here, but my parents will take India’s AZN vaxx. The clot event rate is lower than general population, but most people don’'t understand background rate and associate cause and effect
