Who will join POTUS nominee Biden on the Democrat ticket as VP?

And you wonder why she is not in the Democrat debate? I’ve haven’t seen, heard or heard of Tulsi, but from your description, I wonder why she is in the Democrat party.

What’s not to be a fan of? She has the same positions as all the other candidates on almost everything.

It’s no wonder. Scripta is correct. She does hold Democrat views pretty much across the board. But, unlike so many of them, she does not conduct herself or behave in a manner suggestive of an insane asylum escapee.

And you’re unaware of Tulsi? How is that possible? Here she is on The View:

Tulsi on The View

I like the way she deals with that corpulent, born-on-third-base, disturbing Republican loser, Meghan McCain.

The September twelfth debate is set. There are ten participants only. They are, in order of importance:

Former vice president Joe Biden, Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, Sen. Kamala Harris of California, Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, South Bend mayor Pete Buttigieg, Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey, Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, entrepreneur Andrew Yang, former HUD secretary Julián Castro and former Texas congressman Beto O’Rourke.

Tulsi, Williamson, and Steyer are the outliers who have missed the stage but not by much. Here is more:

More regarding the debate upcoming on Thursday, 12 September

For Tulsi, here is a very important lift from that piece:

A fourth debate, with similar qualifying criteria, will be held in October.

I was uncertain, prior, how much more stringent the October appearance criteria might become. I believe Tulsi, and the others as well, could appear on the stage in October. It is tough to campaign and raise your numbers . . . . . from Indonesia.

Cashing Out . . . . . a poem by Tarzana Joe

Ten Democrats will soon debate.
(I think there should be thirty)
I sent a buck to all of them.
(Oh, God. I feel so dirty!)

I sent one more to Andrew Yang
(Though not a party hack)
For one buck sent to Andrew Yang
I get a thousand back)

I tried to give Jay Inslee cash
Couldn’t get him on the phone
I put a nice check in the mail
Came back “address unknown”

Another fin to Mayor Bill
Although my rent is owing
Despite my debts I dug down deep
We’ve got to keep him going

Liz Warren called for my support
I’m broke but would you think its
Out of line to send a score
Plus four bucks worth of trinkets

Klobuchar could use the help
She’s running, please remind her
I willingly would do my part
But nobody could find her

I gave a buck to Bernie
I thought it right to do
But Bernie wouldn’t take it
Unless I gave him two

Beto needs a lot of dough
And he wants some of mine
When Beto called I told him no
Somewhere, you draw the line

Please do your bit for candidates
And others of their ilk
For cash to politicians
Is just like mother’s milk

Did you see the rules? Here’s something they can all agree on.

Facts, Logic Banned From Next Democratic Debate For Being Tools Of The Alt-Right | Babylon Bee

She certainly has no big future in the Democratic Party. She may not even win the primary for her House seat. She visited Assad and defended him for war crimes. She unfavorably compared Obama to Putin. She is a longtime supporter of Modi. She met with Trump for a possible cabinet position. She is an Islamophobe and used to be virulently anti-gay and anti-choice. She has talked about bringing back torture. She is the favorite candidate of Tucker Carlson, the Russian propaganda machine and the alt-right.

Now she’s whining about not making the debates, despite knowing and agreeing to the rules long ago. Getting 2% in four polls isn’t exactly a high bar. Of the 20+ original candidates, she was my last choice, by a lot. Of course, I’d vote for any of them over the current embarrassment.

Quit micro-aggressing me. :worried::cry::cold_sweat:

This is it!! The long-awaited third Democrat debate is this evening in Houston. See it on ABC.

Trump is answering this time. His campaign will fly a HUGE banner over the Democrat proceedings, accusing them of being socialists. See the banner here:

Trump campaign answers back with socialism charge

This is great!! I’ll be looking to see it tonight.

I apologize to other participants here. Sometimes I am so trusting and naive it is scary. Here is what happened:

Early today the above-posted ABC news link did, indeed, lead to a photo of the Trump banner, as I told you (above) it would. Honest. The banner photo was part of the story I linked. You can still see, in the headline, reference to the banner.

I failed totally to take into account the extent to which ABC news is, in essence and for all practical purposes, a subsidiary of the DNC. So of course they were not going to feature, for very long, a photo like that which serves the purposes of Trump. The photo of the banner was removed from the article, something I should have anticipated.

But it’s a cool banner and I realize latecomers here might be wondering what it looks like, want to see it, and be wondering why I misled them. To see a photo like that you have to visit a less DNC-friendly website. The NY Post has a photo of the banner which I suspect they will not take down:

Latecomers may view banner here

Enjoy!! :joy:

Biden’s record player reference was priceless.

I am old enough to where I once owned a highly prized Collaro record changer. It has been gone so long I no longer can tell you what happened to it.

And my dad years ago set up a very nice “record player”. It was a turntable tied into huge stereo speakers through pre-amps and amplifiers which used vacuum tubes. Dad used an entire section of our house as the speaker baffles . . hundreds of cubic feet of baffle. The sound was quite remarkable, and the lows actually shook the entire room.

Woofers, tweeters . . . boy Biden’s presentation is like having a wormhole where you can dive in and re-visit the past. The guy is absolutely GREAT!!

I’m not certain, though, that younger folks could identify with his presentation like I could.

I think you’re right, I watched it and I have no idea what you’re talking about. I don’t remember him referencing anything of the sort . But I was watching it at 1.3x speed and Biden talks fast, so maybe I just ignored the nonsense.

You need to commence viewing at roughly 2:08 in, actual line is closer to 2:08:30. Watching at normal speed might also help. It goes by quickly.

This line by Biden has garnered a great deal of attention because it dates him so severely. I have no problem with it. Thought it was cute; brought back memories.

Younger people might not agree. And our very youngest voters might not even know for certain what he is talking about.

I think that line by Biden is garnering the attention it is because he bungled it so badly. A decent point he was making, but he twisted up his own tongue.

Oh yeah, he sort-of corrected himself though: “make sure you have the record player on at night, the the the phone…” Assuming he didn’t almost say “phonograph”, he’s on point, as most people consume music on their phones.

But that was also after he had already restarted after first telling parents to leave the TV on all night…

I actually do buy what he was selling in that segment, but to say it came out clunky would be generous.
